Many of you may be aware about the National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive that happens every year on Mother’s Day weekend. All of the food that is collected (last year it was 100,000 pounds) comes to the Lowcountry Food Bank. All homeowners have to do is leave a bag of food at, in, or by their mailbox and the letter carrier picks it up and brings it back to the local post office.
